BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Santiago Arzamendia scored late as Estudiantes recovered from two goals down to clinch a 3-2 home win over Central Cordoba in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament on Friday.
The visitors cruised to a 2-0 lead as Matias Perello and Leonardo Heredia scored either side of halftime at Estadio Uno.
Luciano Gimenez reduced the deficit with a 69th-minute strike and Joaquin Tobio netted an equalizer two minutes later.
Arzamendia provoked wild celebrations from the home fans by meeting Tobio's corner with a bullet header into the bottom-left corner six minutes from time.
The result leaves Estudiantes top of the 15-team Group A standings with 15 points from seven outings, a point ahead of Argentinos Juniors, who has a game in hand. Central Cordoba is third, a point further back.
