WUHAN, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Renovation work has been completed inside the Yellow Crane Tower in central China's Hubei Province.
The interior of the tower in Wuhan, capital of Hubei, has been completely restored "to its original glory" after two months of renovation, according to the tower's management office.
It was the first major restoration work inside the tower in 33 years, according to the management office.
In addition to the renovation, the surrounding environment has been improved, with trees and flowers planted.
The Yellow Crane Tower was built during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 A.D.). It was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current tower was built in 1985.
The tower was made famous in China thanks to the poems of Li Bai and Cui Hao, two poets of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.).
