ULAN BATOR, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Helped by a rise in mineral and textile exports, Mongolia's foreign trade turnover reached 6.3 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2018, up 26 percent from the same period last year, data from the National Statistics Office showed on Wednesday.
Foreign trade balance showed a surplus as exports exceeded imports by some 900 million dollars. Most of the export growth came from mineral products and textiles, which accounted for over 95 percent of total exports.
Of Mongolia's 140 trading partners, China was the largest importer of Mongolian products, the data showed. China is Mongolia's biggest trade partner and a major foreign investor.
