ATHENS, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- People who attended the opening of the artistic event "Cinderella goes Art" on Monday evening in Athens had the chance to travel in a fairytale world.
The project which runs from Dec. 3 to 6 includes visual exhibition, fashion show, gifts for children with disabilities, and dance performances.
Proceeds will be given to Hadjipatereion Foundation, a center for the rehabilitation and support of children with multiple disabilities.
It serves approximately 100 children with cerebral palsy aged up to 12 years every year from all over Greece and in the 35 years of its existence, more than 1,500 children have benefited from its services.
"It is an event that includes fashion and art, with the participation of 53 Greek artists and 9 fashion designers. This is the first time that such a large exhibition is organized on this subject," Aris Roubinis, one of the co-organizers of "Cinderella goes Art", told Xinhua.
The exhibition is carried out in the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities which was marked on Monday.
