BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- A strong cold front will sweep most parts of central and eastern China from Wednesday to Saturday, bringing strong winds and low temperatures, the country's top observatory said.
Affected by the cold front, temperatures in most parts of central and eastern regions will drop between six and eight degrees Celsius, with some areas in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province expecting temperatures to decline over 10 degrees Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
Sandstorm and dust will hit the western part of Inner Mongolia and strong winds are expected in southern and eastern sea areas, the NMC said.
The observatory also forecasts that temperatures will fall below zero degrees Celsius Sunday for areas along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
